MAC Cosmetics' Spring Color Forecast. What's Yours?
MAC Cosmetics has released its spring color trend forecast, and all hands on the radar are pointing toward saturated brights: cheery, popsicle pink; citrusy coral; rich, reddish plum; and warm amber.

The pale side of each spectrum is represented as well for those who prefer a subtler attitude:
Get Creative With Wardrobe Remix
Some fashionistas have a simple approach: buy well-made pieces by reputable designers, add to closet, mix and match and go. It's a simple formula, and there's certainly nothing wrong with it as it often produces a very polished silhouette. However, some fans of all things stylish may find this straightforward buy-and-wear process doesn't suit them and they need something more to channel their creative tastes. A little bit of do-it-yourself, if you will.
If you consider yourself in this latter group, you may find you spend your time making your own scarves, buying basic pieces and modifying them, nosing through your local thrift stores in search of treasure, or always on the hunt to find a way to share your creations. Sure, you can sell them on Etsy, but what if you would prefer to share them with other DIY fashion fans, perhaps share ideas?
Enter Wardrobe Remix, a DIY street fashion community started by Tricia Royal in September of 2005. Since its inception, the Flickr group has ballooned up to 14,500 members and welcomes head-to-toe shots of whatever your heart desires when it comes to stylish ensembles. It's a great way to meet other fashion-savvy DIY crafters, as well as discover new blogs and show off your own creative vision (many well-known fashion bloggers have gotten their start posting there as well). Here are a few of the group's standout entries of late -- we hope you enjoy them!

A Color Tribute To I.D. Magazine
It was announced recently that after 55 years of publication I.D. Magazine, the United States longest running product design magazine, would be closing. It will be missed, but the Annual Design Review, the prestigios design competition recognizing the best in product, furniture, graphic, and environment design, which has been an annual staple for I.D. since its inception will continue with results published online.
We weren't able to locate a complete collection of covers (if you know where we can get ahold of those images let us know) so this is by no means a 'best of' ID magazine collection but rather a color tribute to this icon of the design world.
Read the goods about ID magazine here: industrial design magazine by Steven Heller (Allworth Press) & I.D. Magazine, 1954–2009 by Ralph Caplan.

Interior Design Trends: Silver & Tan
I must admit that I love silver and try to incorporate it into my decor whenever possible and yes, I only wear silver jewelry. I can also say that I am a big fan of tan, it is a great neutral tone that looks rich as well as stylish. I have found some pretty interesting and fun items that are tan and silver, I hope you can enjoy them.

Interior Trends: Yellow + Orange
Yellow and orange; thinking of these evokes images of the 70's for me (for some weird reason). While browsing through a variety of items that consisted of these colors, I found some that were rather nice. Do the 70's come to mind when you think of the orange and yellow combo as well? If not, what does?

HUE By Kelly Wearstler
"When it comes to color, be confident, go with your heart and follow your emotions."
We couldn't agree more.
In her latest book, HUE, Kelly Wearstler, who has worked with spaces in international hotels and resorts, restaurants and lounges, and boutiques, offers up a serving of "inspiring eye-candy for interior design and decorating fans." In a review by the LA Times, they point out that, "The book offers an introductory Q & A with Wearstler that explores her philosophy cites some of the architects, designers and artists who have inspired her. But photo captions are non-existent, while credits and resources are relegated to an illustrated index at the end of the book. The message? This is eye candy: Look and learn."
